With more time being spent at home I've been spending more time focusing on my skincare. I wanted to share 3 products from The Ordinary that I've been loving and highly recommend. The Ordinary is a brand under the larger brand Deciem and touts affordable products that are effective. A few months ago while in Paris I picked up a few items to try and I'm so glad I did.
AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
The combined acids in this product help to fight blemishes, improve skin texture, and reduce signs of aging such as fine lines.
Why I love it - The day after I use this my skin is noticeably more plump and glowy. I look refreshed and my skin is brighter and more 'alive'
How I use it - I use this twice a week at night. Follow the directions and make sure not to leave on longer than recommended. In fact, depending on the sensitivity of your skin you may want to try half the time recommended and see how your skin reacts as it is a strong product. I started with once a week and gradually moved to twice a week.
100% Plant Derived Squalane
A facial oil that is suitable for all skin types
Why I love it - I like to use this at night. I have oily skin and never used facial oils because I thought it would be a disaster. But I recently read that sometimes oily skin is dehydrated skin. So I tried this oil and surprisingly it’s been great. My skin is much more hydrated since I've been using this.
How I use it - I like to use this at night after my serums. A little goes a long way with this oil. It does feel like it sort of sits on the skin a bit but I don’t mind it at all.
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
Plumps and hydrates the skin
Why I love it - I do feel since using this my skin has been a bit plumper and healthier looking.
How I use it - I use this at night before I use my squalene oil. I’ve used this under makeup as well and it’s done fine. Make sure not to use too much or you'll experience like a piling on the skin which can be annoying.
I love these products and can't wait to pick up more to try. Their price point is amazing and what's even better is their products work. Win win!
