CariPRO UltraSonic Electric Toothbrush Review & a GIVEAWAY!!!!

*Affiliate Links Used, View Full Disclosure HERE*

I was so excited when Smile Brilliant reached out to me a few weeks ago to try their new ultrasonic electric toothbrush, the CariPRO. I’ve actually never tried an electric toothbrush (gasp!). I’ve always wanted to try one but I was never sure which one to try. I wanted one that worked and would fit my needs, had a nice sleek design, but I also wanted it to be affordable. I think I’ve found the perfect option and I can honestly say my oral hygiene has been taken to a new level, I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a regular toothbrush again.

After using this toothbrush for a few weeks here are the features that I love:

Design: I love the modern sleek design of this toothbrush. If you’re working with a small bathroom (like me!) you’ll appreciate the small amount of space the toothbrush uses when it’s charging. Oh and did I mention it’s waterproof!!

Battery Life: The CariPRO is able to last up to 30 brushes before it needs to be recharged. Again, if you have a smaller bathroom space, this is perfect because it doesn’t need to constantly be on the charger before using. While it doesn’t take up much room, I like to limit what all is on my counter and I don’t love cords so It is nice to know I don’t have to constantly leave it out to charge.

5 Different settings: The CariPRO has 5 (!!!) different settings to suit pretty much everyone. The settings are Clean, White, Massage, Gum Care, and Sensitive.
The Clean setting is the standard setting. The White setting is much more rigorous as it aims to remove those surface stains you may have. If you’re an avid coffee and red wine drinker (like me), this will do wonders for you! You can drink your coffee and red wine and confidently know you have a toothbrush to combat the stains that may come as a result! The Massage setting is for gentle gum stimulation. The Gum Care setting is for cleaning along the gum line while the Sensitive setting is great if you find the Clean mode to be a bit too hard on your teeth and gums.
My favorite setting is Sensitive because my teeth and gums are pretty sensitive. I still feel like I get an amazing deep clean and my mouth feels amazing afterwards. I also like to incorporate the White and Gum Care setting into my routine as well. I use the White setting a few times a week and like I mentioned, it does a great job at removing those coffee and red wine stains. I also like to follow my regular brushing with the Gum Care setting daily.

Automatic Time Intervals: You know how your dentist recommends brushing for a minimum of 2 minutes every time you brush? Well let’s be real, how many of us actually use a timer to make sure we’re hitting that mark? I’m betting most of us are just used to winging it and hoping we’re close. The CariPRO takes all the guesswork out of it for you making it easy to hit your 2 minute mark each time you brush. Each setting runs in 30 sec intervals which correspond to the 4 quadrants of your mouth - so easy! I love knowing I’ve spent the right amount of time on my teeth morning and night!

After using the CariPRO for a few weeks, I can confidently say that my mouth and teeth have never felt cleaner. This toothbrush has been a game changer for me and I highly recommend!

If you follow me on INSTAGRAM you would have seen quite a few clips of an awesome event I had the pleasure to attend this past weekend here in Kansas City, the West 18th Street Fashion Show. It was a great event I must say, and I'm glad I was able to be apart of it. I was able to get a behind the scenes look at the beautiful chaos that happens before a big event like this and I was also able to speak with many from the hair and makeup teams, as well as several designers. This was the 18th year the show has been in production, their Golden Birthday, and the theme was Summer Migration inspired by movement, heritage and history.

Here are some of the makeup looks that I really loved

Leslie Fraley of Fine Folk (read her bio HERE)
I loved the wash of color over the eyes! Leslie wanted the makeup to embody a migrating warrior woman "ready to kick ass" yessss!!

Amani of Skala Designs & Jennifer of J.Tierney Designs (read their bio HERE)
I loved the romantic vibe from this collection. Their hair and makeup was an evolution from old school romantic with structure to messy romantic and finally, to an elegant romantic look. I loved all the dewy finishes and huge dose of highlight!

Nataliya Meyer of LUCIA'S SARTO
I loved loved loved her collection. From makeup to the designs, she was amazing and I was so inspired by her looks. Nataliya's designs were inspired by the military, beautiful but yet strong. The makeup and hair reflected this as well, with complimentary colors and accents and bold beautiful headpieces.

I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Sydney Pener, a Metalsmith, who uses her knowledge and techniques to create stunning one a kind jewelry and artwork. She presented accessories during the closing of the show. You can read her West 18th Street Fashion Show bio HERE

Her pieces were not only stunning, but unique!  Here are a few snippets from our interview.

Q: Tell me about your designs
Sydney: So I'll take antique platters or antique silvers and cut and rework it or rebuild from scratch. My crowns are antique chandelier glass so they are supposed to be about beauty, art, life, much like a higher level ballroom that's been crashed by circumstance - the idea of fleeing. Beautiful decadence.

Q: Where do you find inspiration?
Sydney: I find old objects, like for instance, metal fans made into a crown. I'll find an object and recreate it.

Q: Who are you trying to reach with your designs?
Sydney: I really just feel like people will see something beautiful.

Sydney also uses her  craft for Operation Art, an organization for Veterans. You can check the organization out HERE

So what did I wear? Well I contemplated this for a little bit and was undecided up until the last minute. Since this was the Golden Birthday of the fashion show and the theme was Summer Migration, I wanted to wear something that was dressy, yet simple, chic yet effortless. Something that would also stand out. I chose a beautiful simple, metallic slip dress with simple strappy rose gold heels.

For makeup, I definitely used the Golden Birthday as my inspiration. I decided to go with various shades of gold and bronze on the eye with a pop of color on the lower lash line. If there were ever a time to highlight, this was the night! I bathed in it, ha! I used it not only on my face but also used it on my shoulders, collar bones and décolleté area. I used the Shayla x Colourpop Perception palette on my eyes (review coming soon!).
