Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush Review

 Wearing Strawberry Drip Here

Fenty Beauty has done it again! As I'm sure you know, I'm a fan of Fenty Beauty and their products with the Pro Filt'r FoundationPro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder , and Sun Stalk'r Bronzer being some of my favorites (see how I use many of the products in this post). Fenty's latest launch, CHEEKS OUT COLLECTION, includes 10 cream blushes and 7 cream bronzers. During the Sephora Summer VIB Event, I ordered a few of the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blushes and I'm excited to share my thoughts about it here!

Note:I ordered 3 shades but due to shipping delays I'm still waiting on another box. Since I'm not sure when it will arrive I wanted to go ahead and do a first impressions and review and I'll update when I've received them all.

I ordered Summertime Wine, Strawberry Drip, and Daiquiri Drip. Today I'm sharing thoughts on Summertime Wine and Strawberry Drip.

Cream blush is perfect to wear in the summer months for that dewy sun kissed look. You can wear it like regular blush as a compliment to your makeup or you can wear it alone for the minimal flushed look. The Freestyle Cream Blushes are said to be a light-as-air, non-greasy cream blush that instantly melts into skin for a wash of color and natural-looking flush in 10 easy-to-use, sheer shades. The Price for 0.1oz/3g of product is $20.

MY THOUGHTS

I'm pleased with this product, in fact I like them a lot! I am not a cream blush expert so I don't have much to compare them to as I don't typically flock to cream blush. I do have combination skin so I've always pictured cream blush becoming a greasy mess on my face. I do not feel this way after using this particular cream blush. The formula is very nice, it's very lightweight and best of all it isn't greasy on my skin. It doesn't feel greasy nor does it look greasy. It wears well throughout the day and I still have product after wearing it for hours (doesn't wear off).

Application is super easy and they are buildable in color as Fenty states. I do think it is important to remember though these are supposed to be sheer buildable shades.

Of the two shades I've worn so far, Summertime Wine is definitely a bit more pigmented than Strawberry Drip. I like to apply Summertime Wine with my fingers and blend into the skin with a brush. I've found that depending on the color payoff I'm wanting with Strawberry Drip it's either best to use my fingers for a more sheer look or for more color payoff a blush or dry beauty blender.

Tip: If you would still like more intensity or staying power you can layer a complimentary blush lightly over top - it will give more color payoff to the cheeks and will act as a setting powder to the cream blush.

I hadn't really looked at the size of the product before ordering so when I received it I was a bit thrown off by how small it was. However, after using a few times I can see that the size is just fine and a little bit goes a long way. But just so you're not thrown off, the packaging is small. I like the size, especially for traveling!

In conclusion, I like these a lot! They are definitely worth the purchase and will be perfect for the summer months ahead. These will be great for that flushed flow look we love in the summer!
